Fossil Fuel Subsidies: Environmentally Dangerous & Economically Counterproductive!

The recent wildfires in the Amazon are not only a burning injustice with long-term socio-economic and ecological implications, it marks a lack of urgency in addressing the anthropogenic causes of climate change despite several inter-governmental panels and commitments, reiterated in several conventions, summits and multilateral agreements i.e the G7, the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Climate Agreement.
